The NBA All-Star break is over and the Association is ready to resume. It is time for the NBA's teams to push toward the playoffs. The trade deadline has come and gone, and teams have strengthened themselves for the second half.
LetsRUMBL has four great NBA daily fantasy sports selections for players this weekend. Points, assists, rebounds and more are available from these NBA stars.
Who does LetsRUMBL suggest for this weekend? Let's find out.
Thursday February 22nd
Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Sacramento Kings
LetsRUMBL average: 52 points
Russell Westbrook is every NBA fantasy and DFS player's dream. Although the Oklahoma City Thunder sit in fifth place in the Western Conference, the team hasn't been great against Western Conference teams. However, against the Sacramento Kings, the 13th place team in the conference, Oklahoma City should have no difficulty on Thursday night.
Westbrook averages 25.4 points per game, but it is his incredible 10.4 assists per game that really makes Westbrooke stand out. The guard has benefited from Paul George and Carmelo Anthony's arrival. Westbrook's scoring has come down a few points per game, but his assists have improved. Westbrook also averages more than 36 minutes a night.
The Thunder have played Sacramento twice this season. Westbrook scored 20 and 19 points, respectively. He also added six and nine assists, respectively. Westbrook's last four games have seen him score 21 or more points in each. The guard should be fresh from the all-star break and ready to score.
Friday February 23rd
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets vs. San Antonio Spurs
LetsRUMBL average: 49 points
The Denver Nuggets' second leading scorer, Nikola Jokic, is LetsRUMBL's top pick for Friday night. The center averages 16.9 ppg along with 10.6 rebounds and a fantastic 5.9 assists – which leads the Nuggets. The Serbian is a star and will be getting max money in the near future.
Denver met the San Antonio Spurs just before all-star break. The meeting ended in a Nuggets win. Jokic finished the night with a triple-double (23 points, 11 assists and 13 rebounds). Jokic put in a solid shift completing nearly 33 minutes. LetsRUMBL predicts Jokic will put in another great performance against the Spurs.
Saturday February 24th
Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls
LetsRUMBL average: 42 points
Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers take on a Chicago Bulls team that gives up 109.2 ppg. Simmons sank 19 points against the Bulls the last time the two teams met. His 19 points wasn't all, however. Simmons added 17 boards and 14 assists. He also completed over 38 minutes of action. He also sank 70% of his free throws. Yes, Simmons is a star in the making, and if his last game against the Bulls is an indicator, he should play well on Saturday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers are on a five-game winning streak. Simmons has been part of the reason. In his last game before the all-star break against the Miami Heat, Simmons put in a triple-double. DFS players can expect another big performance from "The Fresh Prince".
Sunday February 25th
Blake Griffin, Detroit Pistons vs. Charlotte Hornets
LetsRUMBL average: 40 points
Blake Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons in a desperate move by the Motor City team. In eight games since arriving, Griffin is averaging 20.4 points, eight rebounds and 6.1 assists. The power forward takes on the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. The Hornets allow 106.6 ppg and have a terrible 13-18 record against teams in the Eastern Conference.
Griffin has twice recorded double-digit rebounds since moving to the Pistons. In five of his eight games in Motor City, Griffin has scored 20 or more points. He is definitely a player that can upgrade the Pistons in an attempt to make the NBA Playoffs.
Griffin's last game against Charlotte came during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers. The forward scored 25 points in a 33-plus minute performance. Griffin and the Pistons should motor past the Hornets on Sunday, and Griffin should put in a performance to make DFS players happy.
