From slow starters to stars shining brightly, DFS players will find plenty of value in these MLB players.

Thursday, August 9

Jonathan Schoop, Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego Padres

LetsRUMBL average: 21 points

Jonathan Schoop was shipped from the American League East’s worst team, the Baltimore Orioles, to National League wildcard leaders, the Milwaukee Brewers. Overnight, Schoop’s chances of playing in the postseason shifted. The Brewers are soaring and their players are benefiting at the plate.

Schoop is still adjusting to NL pitching, but the good news is he will face the league’s worst team. The second baseman has a career batting average of .243 against the Padres. Robbie Erlin will take to the hill on Thursday night for the Padres. Although Schoop hasn’t faced Erlin, the second baseman has done well against the Padres previously. He has tallied four RBIs in his last 37 at bats against them.

The second baseman is playing better at Miller Park than on the road. He is just waiting for a big breakout game, and Thursday night may see that happen in Milwaukee.

Friday, August 10

Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Indians vs. Chicago White Sox

LetsRUMBL average: 21 points

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez is having a fantastic season. Ramirez has cranked 33 home runs and 83 RBIs. His performances have helped lead the Indians to the best record in the AL Central.

Ramirez is hitting .348 in his last seven games. He has one home run, seven RBIs, and five bases on balls in that time span. Ramirez has 15 home runs on the road this season to go along with 32 RBIs. The Indians will play the Chicago White Sox at night, which is when Ramirez is most deadly at the plate. He has a .298 batting average and his 20 home runs have been hit during night games. August is just underway and Ramirez is getting hot. He has five hits in 19 at bats this month along with five RBIs.

The White Sox will throw Carlos Rodon on Friday. This season, Ramirez is one for six against Rodon, but with the third baseman getting hot this month, DFS players should expect him to hit the pitcher on Friday. In his career against the White Sox, Ramirez has tallied a .351 batting average with four home runs and nine RBIs. Ramirez is projected to hit eight more home runs and tally 30 additional RBIs in 2018.

Saturday, August 11

Christian Yelich, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves

LetsRUMBL average: 21 points

Christian Yelich is having a great year for the Brewers. The left fielder has tallied a .323 batting average, 59 RBIs, 17 home runs, and 14 stolen bases. Yelich’s last 15 games have been stellar. He has hit .429 in 63 at bats with five home runs and 12 RBIs.

The Atlanta Braves have not announced their starter for Saturday’s game. Yelich is hitting .214 against the Braves this season. He has registered two bases on balls, two RBIs, and one stolen base. Yelich is projected to hit another six home runs this season while tallying 22 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

Yelich hits better on the road than at home. The left fielder is hitting .325 away from Miller Park. Although his RBIs and home runs are lower on the road than at home, he has collected more hits. The left fielder also hits better at night than during the day, which gives DFS players more incentive to select Yelich in their fantasy team this weekend.

The left fielder has soared following the MLB All-Star break. His performances have helped the Brewers get within touching distance of the Chicago Cubs. Adding him to a DFS team this weekend should see great returns for players.
